Hi all,
I am back home in Oakland, and was planning do an update today about our wonderful sail on Friday with the kids from the Herreshoff Museum junior program.
But yesterday afternoon I received the tragic news that Simone Bianchetti, fellow competitor in the Around Alone, has suddenly died. I am shocked and saddened and don't really know what to say about the loss of such a colorful and vibrant person. He had many different sides to him that I am thinking about right now, so will have to talk about sailing later.
I will try to check in again when I hear more about what happened to him. |
