Testimonials from previous presentations:

"Bruce, Thanks so very much for your great talks here at Mystic Seaport. You not only pulled in the biggest crowd; you also received the highest praise as members were leaving the River Room. One person wrote on the evaluation form, 'This was perfect. Feels like I could go with him. Need more of this type of program.' So you've set a new high standard for all upcoming programs. Probably the solution is to get you back after your next Vendee Globe, or whatever adventure you tackle. I hope so. Thanks again on behalf of Mystic Seaport!"

- Karin Soderberg, Program Director, Mystic Seaport

"Experience a multimedia presentation by American sailor Bruce Schwab and you will feel like...you've sailed on his boat OceanPlanet, surfed at breakneck speed in the Southern Ocean, pounded into confused seas in the Bay of Biscay, sailed through the fog over the finish line of the grueling non-stop, single-handed, unassisted ocean sailboat race called the Vendee Globe, been greeted by a swarm of French schoolchildren chanting "We love Bruce!", and, moreover, you feel like you can do anything in this life, on our own "ocean planet"

Bruce Schwab came to my school, a middle-high school in Poland, Maine, where NASCAR is the thing and sailboats are "way down there on the coast". The students walked into the theatre, with a large screen, a model of OceanPlanet and other artifacts, and banners galore and they knew this wasn't a run-of-the-mill presentation. The kids were enthralled by Bruce's video footage, the photos capturing a fascinating story and Bruce's natural, conversational way of telling the story. We ran out of flyers to be autographed.

Kids talked about the "guy who sailed around the world" for days. And the teacher's imaginations went wild about their next adventure of that dream that they put on the back burner. Bruce wowed us all.

Whether you are little kid, big kid, or an adult wishing you could just be a kid again, Bruce will show you how he did what no other American has ever done - be the first to complete the Vendee Globe around-the-world race. But it doesn't have to be about sailing fast. What does it take to tackle a dream, see it through, and solve problems? What do you do in the face of adversity? How do you carry on when others shake their heads? How do you complete a dream gracefully? Bruce has much to show you through his magnificent example and a fabulous multimedia presentation. In a nutshell, he will show that IT IS POSSIBLE."
